Synthetic clothing poses a challenge to the environment due to its non-recyclable nature.
Unlike natural fibers, synthetic materials cannot be easily broken down and reused, leading to increased waste and environmental pollution. It is the reason fast-fashion retailers are able to recycle only a fraction of their production.
Additionally, the production of fabrics per sé impacts the environment, as it requires significant amounts of water, exacerbating water scarcity issues. Not too famous is the dyeing process of synthetic fabrics that contributes to water pollution, as the colored water is often released untreated into water bodies.
We understand the need to prioritize the development of more sustainable alternatives to synthetic materials and adopt eco-friendly productions in the fashion industry.
Therefore, Amanda Ahlstöm is committed to participating in the change of our consumption habits by offering alternative items of clothing made of natural fibers.
By doing so, we can reduce the negative impact of clothing production on the environment and work towards a more sustainable future.
